The Housatonic Child Care Center opened in 1970 in the United Methodist Church in Lakeville. They are a non-profit organization accredited by the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Program Education. In describing their principles and philosophy, the Housatonic Child Care Center writes: "At Housatonic Child Care Center, we strive to enhance the individual development of each child and encourage learning through hands-on play."
