New website assists parents looking for child care

When Boateng and Marissa Hockenheimer moved to Atlanta, Georgia last year one of the first things they looked for was childcare for their two-year-old son Michael. They didn't have any friends with children to get any personal referrals so they turned to the Internet. Boateng tells of his experience: (The Internet) is a great resource if you know where to look. Our problem was that we had never needed child care services before so we needed to get educated on the options. We were very overwhelmed.” Boateng's frustration inspired an Internet-savvy friend to get to work and put together an online resource for parents looking for child care providers. One year later the idea turned into ChildHomeDayCare.com, a website where child care providers can showcase their business and get potential new customers. Hundreds of daycare centers and home daycare business owners add their business profile on ChildHomeDayCare.com everyday helping the site quickly become the most current and complete directory of child care service providers in the U.S.
